International Zebra Day & Wildlife Jewels “Red Spinel the Grévy's Zebra”

International Zebra Day & sketch from Wildlife Jewels “Red Spinel the Grévy's Zebra” design in progress

On this International Zebra Day, we are delighted to unveil a sneak peek sketch from our new Wildlife Jewels Collections design in progress, showcasing the exquisite Grévy's zebra – one of the most stunning yet endangered zebra species.

Recognized as endangered by the IUCN, the Grévy's zebra has seen its population decline from an estimated 15,000 in the 1970s to fewer than an estimated 2,500 remaining in the wild. (smithsonian)

Did you know Zebras, including the Grévy's, exhibit unique stripes akin to fingerprints?
