Step 1

Wildlife Monitor Volunteers: How to Get Started
Step 4
Observe & Document Wildlife
During your shift, observe from a safe distance, take notes, and document with photos or videos. Do not approach or engage with wildlife or the public.
Step 3
Sign Up for a Shift
Choose your observation time and location by completing our Volunteer Shift Sign-Up Form. You must agree to follow the program guidelines during each shift.
Step 2
Join a Training Walk or Zoom Orientation
Learn how to monitor wildlife effectively by joining an in-person training walk or a virtual Zoom session. Sign up for training.
Step 5
Report Emergencies
During or immediately after your shift, please notify us in case of an emergency—such as wildlife harassment or injured animals—through Wildlife Jewels' EYES Colelctive WhatsApp group emergency line.
Step 6
Submit Your Report
After your shift, fill out the Wildlife Monitoring Report Form to share your sightings, photos, and any concerns. We request within 24 hours of your shift.
All volunteers must read and agree to the Wildlife Jewels EYES™ Collective Wildlife Monitor Volunteer Guidelines & Protocol prior to signing up for a shift.
