Wildlife Jewels Rescue Resources

Helping You Help Wildlife

Wildlife Jewels® Rescue Resources are designed to give the public and volunteers clear, accessible guidance on what to do when encountering distressed, stranded, or injured wildlife.

On this page, you’ll find:

  • A general guide for how to spot distressed wildlife and what to do, wherever you may be.

  • Regional rescue resource links for quick access to licensed organizations and contacts in Southern California.

  • Wildlife Jewels® report forms for submitting sightings of distressed or threatened wildlife.

  • Educational resources and stories shared through our Rescue Blogs, highlighting real cases we’ve documented in the field.

Wildlife Jewels® Rescue Public Report Forms

Help us document threats and distressed wildlife. Your reports contribute to data collection and awareness, and in some cases may be shared with agencies to support rescue and response. These forms are open to the public and may be used by anyone who observes distressed or threatened wildlife

Wildlife Jewels® Rescue Support

Wildlife Jewels® supports wildlife in need through two key programs. Our EYES™ Program engages community members and trained volunteers to monitor Southern California’s coastlines, documenting threats and reporting distressed animals to the proper agencies. Our Rescue Crew pilot program provides trained volunteers to help pick up and transport select injured wildlife to licensed rehabilitation centers.

While Wildlife Jewels is not a rehabilitation facility, these programs form a vital link between the public and rescuers — ensuring distressed wildlife are discovered, reported, and transported to care more quickly.
