We’ve had the pleasure of observing this beautiful young bird during our EYES® coastal wildlife monitoring—quietly exploring the rocky shoreline, with its striking orange eyes, intricate plumage, and almost magical presence.

Wildlife Jewels hosted Paint the Jewels of La Jolla at Kellogg Park, a community art activity celebrating real coastal wildlife observed, documented, and helped through local conservation efforts.

Wildlife Jewels hosted its Paint the Jewels of La Jolla at Kellogg Park, a community art activity celebrating real coastal wildlife observed, documented, and helped through local conservation efforts.✨💜💎
Inspired by some of La Jolla’s precious wildlife inhabitants we’ve observed, documented, and helped rescue, the community helped bring two canvases to life through color, creativity, and care. Participants also drew inspiration from our wildlife paintings on display, learning about each real animal featured in the artwork.
The pieces became a beautiful reflection of wonder, connection, and appreciation for the wildlife that makes this coastline so special.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating La Jolla’s magical wildlife.

What a magical evening at Jewels of the Cove ✨
Wildlife Jewels was delighted to host a special evening unveiling Jewels of the Cove™, our new educational art collection inspired by the extraordinary coastal wildlife of La Jolla, at the beautiful Brockton Villa.
It was an unforgettable night of art, wildlife, ocean-inspired sounds, ocean views, and community—bringing people together to celebrate these remarkable animals and the importance of protecting them.
Through art, we shared the beauty of the Cove’s wildlife while also educating the community about these animals, the Wildlife Jewels Rescue Crew, and how the public can support reporting, rescue coordination, and ongoing conservation efforts.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this special evening 💙
