Learn from Birds™ is a Wildlife Jewels® education program that explores coastal and urban birdlife through careful observation, field-inspired storytelling, and creative learning.

Birds are often the most visible wildlife neighbors—and also among the most overlooked. Learn from Birds invites participants to notice subtle behaviors, patterns, and interactions that reveal how birds navigate their environments and respond to human presence.

The Learn from Birds Approach

Rather than focusing on bird identification alone, Learn from Birds centers on:

• Observing how birds move, rest, feed, and interact

• Learning from real-world field observations

• Translating observations into stories, art, and insight

• Encouraging respectful distance and wildlife-safe awareness

• Fostering curiosity, empathy, and stewardship through experience

• Guided outdoor discovery walks focused on bird observation
