Paint the Jewels of the World: A Magical World Wildlife Day Experience in Newport Beach ✨🌍🎨
On February 28, 2026, as part of our 2nd Annual World Wildlife Day Newport Beach Celebration, Wildlife Jewels® hosted a special community art experience — Paint the Jewels of the World.
We’re excited to share some of the highlights from this meaningful and inspiring moment.
During this interactive activity, our community came together to paint extraordinary wildlife that make our world so wondrous — from monarch butterflies and Antarctic krill to pelicans, seals and other precious species. Each animal featured carries its own story. Some are species we’ve had the privilege to photograph in the wild, and others we’ve supported through rescue response along our coasts, making this experience especially personal and impactful.
As participants painted, we shared the stories behind these animals — creating a deeper connection between art, wildlife, and conservation.
This special piece began as a hand-drawn composition by our founder and wildlife artist, Dr. Azi Sharif, and was then brought to life through the many hands of the community. What started as a sketch transformed into a collaborative work of art — a reflection of shared care, curiosity, and commitment to protecting wildlife.
The magic of art and wildlife coming together sparked moments of wonder, connection, and inspiration throughout the day, reminding us of the beauty of the living treasures that share our world.
The full finished painting — along with the stories of the wildlife featured — will be revealed soon. Stay tuned 💙
