Wildlife Jewels Launches Rescue Crew to Help Protect Coastal Wildlife
Wildlife Jewels is honored to launch the Wildlife Jewels Rescue Crew.
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Wildlife Jewels celebrated the official launch of the Wildlife Jewels Rescue Crew program with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Solana Beach.
The event brought together volunteers, partners, community members, and supporters to celebrate this important milestone in expanding trained wildlife response support and coastal wildlife stewardship along our coast.
We are honored by the special recognitions presented by the Office of Congressman Mike Levin and the Office of Assemblymember Tasha Boerner, and grateful for the support of the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce and everyone who joined us for this special occasion.
Wildlife Jewels Rescue Crew is a trained volunteer program that helps locate, document, report, and support rescue pathways for wildlife in need. Through trained volunteer participation, public education, and collaboration with wildlife rehabilitation and response partners, the program aims to strengthen support for wildlife facing injury, entanglement, illness, and other human-caused threats.
Special thanks to Megan Parry and ABC 10News for attending the event and helping share the Wildlife Jewels Rescue Crew story with the broader community.
This launch marks an exciting new chapter for Wildlife Jewels as we continue expanding our efforts to protect wildlife, inspire stewardship, and help more people recognize when wildlife may be in need of help.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible and look forward to continuing this important work together.
