🌍✨ Today is National Wildlife Day — a day dedicated to endangered wildlife and the ongoing efforts to protect them.

We’re shining a light on the California Brown Pelican, a magical species once on the brink of extinction that made an incredible recovery thanks to conservation protections. 🪶💙

But pelicans continue to face growing threats: domoic acid poisoning, starvation events, fishing gear entanglement, and much more.

This beautiful pelican was recently observed during our EYES Coastal Wildlife Monitoring Program, where our team works to spot distressed wildlife and support rescue efforts along our coastlines.

The Wildlife Trafficking Alliance coordinates efforts to:
