Wildlife Jewels Presents
The Art of Newport Beach Wildlife: Pollinators & Native Plants
A Paint the Jewels Community Art Experience
Join Wildlife Jewels for a free bayfront community art experience at the Back Bay Science Center’s native plant garden and trail.
Surrounded by native plants and the beautiful habitats of Upper Newport Bay, participants will help create a collaborative artwork inspired by Newport Beach’s pollinators, and native plants. Through art, guests will learn the stories of the pollinators and species they are painting, and how native plants support wildlife, habitat restoration, and conservation.
Guests are invited to contribute to Jewels of Newport Beach: Pollinators, a collaborative textile collage composed of pollinators, native plants, and local wildlife line art created by Wildlife Jewels founder and artist Azi Sharif. Participants will help bring the composition to life with color and texture, and the finished artwork will be displayed alongside the other pieces in our community showcase this fall.
Saturday, July 18, 2026 | 2:00–4:00 PM
Location: Back Bay Science Center | 600 Shellmaker Road, Newport Beach, CA 92660
Free | All ages welcome | No art experience required
