Paint the Jewels of the San Dieguito Lagoon
Wildlife Jewels is excited to bring Paint the Jewels to the San Dieguito Lagoon in collaboration with the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy (SDRVC), which is hosting this special experience at the lagoon as part of its Art in Nature series.
Join us for a beautiful late-afternoon community event where art, wildlife, and nature come together. Participants will enjoy a guided nature walk through the San Dieguito Lagoon, hosted by SDRVC, followed by Wildlife Jewels’ artist-led Paint the Jewels collaborative painting workshop inspired by the magical wildlife inhabitants of the lagoon.
Paint the Jewels™ is a Wildlife Jewels community art program that brings people together to paint the wildlife that makes each place special—our living “jewels.” Through guided, artist-led painting experiences, participants connect with local wildlife, hear real stories from the field, and create collaborative artworks inspired by animals observed in each location.
We’re grateful to collaborate with the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, whose work helps preserve, protect, and share the natural and cultural resources of the San Dieguito River Valley.
Come discover the beauty of the San Dieguito Lagoon, learn about the precious wildlife residents, and help create a community painting inspired by its living jewels!
