We’re excited to bring back one of our favorite hands-on programs at Wildlife Jewels’ World Wildlife Day!
Join us on Friday, Feb 28 at the Newport Beach Civic Center Park as we come together to plant native, pollinator-friendly plants that support hummingbirds, butterflies, and local wildlife—right here in our community.

Wildlife Jewels’ “Pink Opal the Hummingbird Gem” Fine Art educational display at Sunset Ridge Park.
This adorable hummingbird was rescued and cared for by the Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center. We’re creating an art collection in her honor to help educate our community about protecting hummingbirds and their nests. Her collection will debut soon as part of the Wildlife Jewels Collections.

Inspiring Day! We planted flowers for hummingbirds & butterflies, learned about the native plants they love, explored fascinating facts about hummingbirds & butterflies, innovations inspired by them, the major threats they face, and how to protect them. We also had the chance to witness a precious monarch butterfly feeding on a freshly planted flower, and admired hummingbird & butterfly-inspired fine art, while enjoying delicious cupcakes!
