Wildlife Jewels Presents
The Art of Newport Beach Wildlife: Wildlife Connections
Celebrate Newport Beach Art Week Through Wildlife Art
Join Wildlife Jewels for a free waterfront community art experience at beautiful harborfront Marina Park during Newport Beach Art Week.
Together, participants will help complete two collaborative paintings celebrating the remarkable wildlife and habitats of Newport Beach, including marine wildlife, coastal birds, pollinators, and native plants.
Through art, participants will discover the stories of real Newport Beach wildlife that Wildlife Jewels has observed, photographed, monitored, and supported through rescue response. We’ll explore the connections between local wildlife and their habitats and learn simple ways we can help protect the animals that share our coastal community.
Whether you joined one of our previous events or are participating for the first time, everyone is welcome to add their brushstrokes to these special community artworks while celebrating Newport Beach’s extraordinary wildlife through art, education, and conservation.
The completed collaborative paintings will be featured in a community showcase this fall.

About The Art of Newport Beach Wildlife
The Art of Newport Beach Wildlife is a Wildlife Jewels community art series that brings people together through collaborative painting experiences inspired by Newport Beach’s wildlife and natural environment. Each large-scale artwork begins with an artist-led composition by Wildlife Jewels’ founder-artist, Dr. Azi Sharif, and participants help bring the pieces to life through community painting.
Throughout the series, participants learn about local species, habitats, and ways to help protect Newport Beach’s resident wildlife. The series culminates in a community showcase celebrating creativity, community, and Newport Beach’s remarkable wildlife.
