Join us for a magical seaside evening at historic Brockton Villa overlooking La Jolla Cove as Wildlife Jewels® unveils Jewels of the Cove™, a new wildlife art series inspired by the remarkable animals of this treasured coastline.

Through art, stories, and conversation, guests will discover wildlife we have photographed, observed, and helped rescue at La Jolla Cove. This special gathering benefits Wildlife Jewels® Rescue Crew and helps raise awareness for ongoing coastal wildlife rescue and conservation efforts.
The evening will also feature live ambient ocean-inspired music by Eric Fletcher, The Ocean Alchemist, creating a beautiful and reflective atmosphere inspired by the healing power of the sea and the importance of ocean conservation.
Complimentary appetizers and soft drinks will be provided, generously donated by Brockton Villa. Wine and other alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Wildlife Jewels Rescue Updates
Wildlife Jewels Rescue Crew rescued a Brandt’s Cormorant entangled in fishing gear at La Jolla Cove and transported the bird to wildlife rehabilitation for care.

During our EYES field surveys at Children’s Pool, we have continued observing the same injured harbor seal pup since June 28. She has a deep wound near her left shoulder/front flipper and appears to have difficulty moving.
During our EYES Children’s Pool survey yesterday, Wildlife Jewels documented a precious seal pup with a concerning open wound on the left neck/shoulder area.

Last year, during Southern California’s seabird crisis, Wildlife Jewels had the opportunity to document a precious Laysan Albatross receiving expert care at Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center after potentially suffering from domoic acid poisoning.
