On Thursday, March 27th, we were thrilled to participate Franklin Elementary School STEAM night!
Inspiring day! Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting one of our Learn from Wildlife™ art activities at Franklin Elementary's STEAM Night!
It was incredible to see the students' creativity as they illustrated Wildlife Jewels’ Rubellite the Elegant Tern, Pink Tourmaline the Pelican, Peridot the Allen’s Hummingbird, Mandarin Garnet the Monarch Butterfly, and Carnelian the Ant—while discovering the unique stories behind each.
Their curiosity blossomed as they explored coastal wildlife, pollinators, and even gained insights from ants!

Wildlife Jewels Plant for Wildlife Updates
As part of Wildlife Jewels' Annual World Wildlife Day Community Celebration, volunteers came together to plant 120 native pollinator plants at Newport Beach Civic Center Park, helping beautify the park while creating habitat for butterflies, hummingbirds, and other essential wildlife.
Plant for Hummingbirds returns! 🌿 We’re excited to bring back one of our favorite hands-on programs at Wildlife Jewels’ World Wildlife Day!
Wildlife Jewels hosted its Plant for Hummingbirds celebration in honor of National Hummingbird Day. Together with families and neighbors, volunteers installed 132 native pollinator plants, improving habitat for hummingbirds, monarch butterflies, and other pollinators.

Celebrate California Biodiversity Day at the Back Bay Science Center in Newport Beach with Wildlife Jewels’ Paint the Jewels live art workshop, wildlife activities, and more.
Wildlife Jewels joined The Nat’s Weekends of Wonder: Oceans, sharing ocean-inspired art, coastal wildlife education, marine debris awareness, and an interactive drawing activity for visitors.
Wildlife Jewels joined Newport Bay Conservancy’s Earth Day at the Bay to celebrate the wildlife of Upper Newport Bay through community art, education, and conservation.

An incredible day of ocean inspiration at the AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles Open House. On Saturday, November 22, Wildlife Jewels had the pleasure of exhibiting and sharing our ocean-life–inspired works of art, as well as our EYES coastal wildlife monitoring program and rescue efforts to help protect California’s magical coastal and marine wildlife.
We joined Walter Munk Day: For Oceans at Kellogg Park to connect the community with La Jolla’s marine wildlife through art, science, and search-to-save know-how.
