On this International Day for Biological Diversity, we’re excited to share special highlights from our recent Pollinator Arts Program with the dedicated 7th-grade Service Learning students from Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad!

Students explored San Diego’s beautiful hummingbirds and butterflies—drawing and painting these vibrant pollinators, learning about their unique features, the innovations they inspire, and the challenges they face. They then brought their creativity to life by decorating clay pots inspired by their favorite pollinators and planting native plants to help nourish and protect them. 🦋🐝🌸

We even got to spot a precious Allen’s hummingbird feeding on flowers—a magical moment that brought our lesson to life and reminded us why protecting pollinators and preserving biodiversity is so vital! 💚🦋🌸
