Host: Wildlife Jewels® EYES™ La Jolla
You’re invited! 🌊🦭 Join Wildlife Jewels for a special EYES™ (Engage Your Eyes for Sea Life) Wildlife Walk at La Jolla Cove in honor of Wildlife Conservation Day! Together, we’ll explore the breathtaking coastline, observe majestic wildlife, and learn how we can help protect the sea lions, seals, pelicans, cormorants, gulls, and other coastal wildlife who thrive along the La Jolla shoreline.
This guided walk offers a unique opportunity to experience La Jolla’s iconic wildlife through the lens of conservation, field observations, and wildlife stewardship.
What we’ll do
Walk & wonder: Stroll the coastline and discover our coastal & marine wildlife neighbors: Harbor seals, sea lions, pelicans, gulls, elegant terns, and tidepool life while practicing respectful, no-disturbance viewing (observe with space & zoom).
Field stories that inspire: Hear real EYES moments from observations, monitoring, and rescues—and how quick reporting saves lives.
Get involved: Learn simple ways to join EYES La Jolla as a Community Reporter or Volunteer Monitor so your regular beach walks help protect wildlife.
Report like a pro: Quick guides, safety tips, and contacts for reporting distressed wildlife (plus a peek at our Rescue Crew program).
What to bring
Comfortable closed-toe shoes, layers, a reusable water bottle, binoculars (if you have them), and a phone/camera with zoom—and lots of curiosity!
After the walk, you’re invited to join us for an optional no-host gathering at Brockton Villa for anyone who’d like to stay for a drink or snack and keep the wildlife conversation going!
Space is limited. Pre-registration required.
Reserve your spot below.
